Residency Outcome: Resurgence of the Oasis | The Caravan Route | Fatim Soumaré

On May 8, 2025, La Boîte Studio hosted the closing event of artist Fatim Soumaré’s residency, part of the La Route des Caravanes project, in the presence of local artisans and committed partners.

This research-creation initiative explores traditional textile know-how across the African continent. During the Tunisian leg of the residency, a meaningful dialogue emerged between Senegalese and Tunisian craftsmanship, nurtured through close collaboration with local artisans.

This shared moment of creation, transmission, and cultural memory reflects our commitment to preserving living heritage and supporting a local presence rooted in openness and dialogue across cultures.
